Fulham fail is a 'lesson' Cats must be at their best to succeed, says Le Bris

Régis Le Bris has urged Sunderland to learn the lessons of their disappointing defeat to Fulham as they prepare for AFC Bournemouth's visit to the Stadium of Light this weekend.

A late goal from Raul Jimenez secured the three points for Marco Silva's side, with the Black Cats giving up an uncharacteristic number of chances throughout the game.

They also struggled to create many chances of note through the contest and so could have few complaints about the final result.

Le Bris said it was crucial not to overreact after an otherwise very strong start to the season, saying it was a valuable lesson that the Black Cats can't dip from the standards they have set so far.

Le Bris said: "I think it's another good lesson, we have to be at our best, otherwise the opponent can exploit their strength and it was a bit too much today.

"We expect obviously tough games, many strong opponents and it's still the case.

"We have to learn quickly, we have to improve our level.
