The band released their 2006 album Inside In/Inside Out on the same day as the Arctic Monkeys' debut, and went on to have a string of top 10 UK singles and albums.
Luke Pritchard, with his messy Bob Dylan-esque hair and leather jackets, epitomised what was referred to at the time as “landfill indie” but has now been rechristened as “indie sleaze”. However, the lead singer admits he did not enjoy the hedonistic partying that came with being part of the scene in “the old days”.
