It seems it's not enough these days for artists to simply release a new album, there has to be some kind of gimmick or hook to grab people too. Jennifer Lopez did it with her film This Is Me... Now: A Love Story, as did Beyonce with Lemonade. Now Miley Cyrus is jumping on the bandwagon with this project, which reunites her with her old friends/employers at Disney. Cyrus herself claims it's inspired by Pink Floyd's The Wall, and that its central theme is 'healing'. Disney, however, describe it as a 'one of a kind pop opera fuelled by fantasy'. At least you're getting a chance to make up your own minds thanks to the project's appearance on the streaming service. Cyrus co-directs and stars
