Horden hit Esh for six as rivals drop points

LEADERS Horden CW received a double boost as they romped to a big win at Esh Winning and saw title rivals Yarm and Eaglescliffe drop two points at home to Boldon CA.

An Elliott Beddow brace and a goal apiece from Ben Henderson, Chris Wallace, Jack Pounder and Philly Angus helped Horden to the 6-0 win against an Esh side firmly in the play-off race.
And there was further good news for Jonny Payne's side as second-placed Yarm were held to a goalless home draw by an ever-improving Boldon.
Third placed Jarrow moved to within two points of Yarm as Callum Johnston got the only goal at Sunderland RCA.
