Championship leader Lando hits back at Verstappen's title jibe
LANDO NORRIS blasted Red Bull for "talking nonsense" as he came out swinging in response to a jibe from Formula One title rival Max Verstappen.
Ahead of today’s Qatar Grand Prix, the Dutchman had claimed he would have “easily” won the title if he had driven the McLaren car which has dominated the grid this year.
It was a clear jab at Norris who can seal the championship today if he beats Verstappen and outscores Oscar Piastri by four points or more in the race.
But after finishing third in yesterday's sprint, the Brit was quick to counter.
Norris said: “Max is very welcome to say everything he wants... I have a lot of respect and he has achieved an incredible amount.
“He generally has a good clue about a lot of things, but there are also things he doesn't have much of a clue about.
“It is also Red Bull's way of going about things, an aggressive nature and just talking nonsense a lot of the time.
