Tragedy as father dies after falling from boat with son

THE body of a man who fell into a Midland reservoir has been discovered.

Emergency services were called to the Draycote Water reservoir, in Rugby, Warwickshire, around 3.30pm on Thursday.

The man's son, who was with him on the boat, escaped injury in the incident and was rescued.

Warwickshire Police have confirmed they believe the recovered body is that of the missing father.

The man's teenage son had already been rescued from the water when West Midlands Ambulance Service crews arrived at the scene on Thursday, a spokesperson said.

He was assessed but did not require further treatment and was discharged at the scene.
