Pensioner hit by taxi 'doing a U-turn' dies in hospital

A PEDESTRIAN has tragically died following a collision with a taxi 'which was doing a U-turn'in Birmingham.

West Midlands Police have issued an appeal after an 80-year-old man suffered a serious leg injury on St James's Road in Handsworth, just before 5.30pm, on Wednesday, July 2.
He was rushed to hospital but sadly died on Friday.
Police said that the driver of the vehicle is currently helping them with their inquiries.
