AMBULANCE MAN'S CHILD SEX SHAME

AN ambulance worker from the West Midlands has been jailed for 25 years for a series of child sex offences, with one explicit image taken while he was on duty.

Ambulance technician David Andrews was arrested in December 2024, after an allegation of sexual assault against a child.

West Mercia Police investigated and found video footage and thousands of indecent images on his phone.

Of those images 765 were category A images, the most serious in nature, while 829 were category B and 5,388 category C.

Andrews worked as an ambulance technician for East Midlands Ambulance Service in the Northamptonshire area between July 2015 and December 2024.

One of the category C images was taken while he was on duty.

Andrews, 36, of no fixed address but formerly of Wellesbourne, Warwickshire, admitted 11 offences at Worcester Crown Court. These were:
