Ibrox win will let Rodgers self reflect on revenge gained and a league crown wrapped up in style

- HUGH KEEVINS

BRENDAN RODGERS is perfectly correct.

When the media say they know precisely what a manager is thinking about regarding any serious subject it is, in fact, pure guesswork.

So here I go.

I don't know why Rodgers went all psycho-analytical in the immediate aftermath of Celtic's title-winning triumph at Tannadice last weekend.

The manager was in a self-exploratory state of mind when he said: "There are very few people who know me. And there's even less who understand me."

For me, it's actually self-explanatory at times.

And particularly when it comes to understanding what's running through Rodgers' head concerning today's events at Ibrox in the last Old Firm game of the season.

I've only met Brendan in person on two occasions and on each I was accompanied by one grandson or another.

The Hoops boss was kindness personified to the kids and sociable towards me.
