AMERICA and Israel unleashing their war machine on Iran could reshape the Middle East forever, with effects felt around the world.

For decades Pentagon and Tel Aviv military planners have mapped out how to attack Iran.

The clue an attack was imminent was the arrival of US F-22s in Israel.

These Raptors, the most lethal warplanes in the world, were the final piece in the huge air and sea attack force that America has for weeks been grinding into position.

Now the attack has finally happened, it could mean years of terrorism exported to the West.

İran's shadowy Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps leaders may defect to a new leadership or, as happened in Iraq, go to ground and launch an insurgency against it.

If the regime falls, Hezbollah in Lebanon loses its support of around $1billion a year. It and Iran's other proxies could use their global connections to launch terror attacks.

The reach of these networks is enormous, stretching all the way to South America and across Europe to the UK.

Or if Iran's Supreme Leader is toppled - Ayatollah Khamenei has already fled capital Tehran, his compound flattened - perhaps the US is gambling on a mutated, less extreme version of his regime taking over.
