Well boss rages at VAR over two big calls

JENS BERTHEL ASKOU raged at ref Steven McLean and VAR after Motherwell let another lead slip.

The Fir Park gaffer filleted the “absolutely shocking” decision to scrub Ibrahim Said’s strike.

The wide man thought he'd scored his first goal for the Steelmen on 17 minutes. But McLean agreed with VAR to punish Said for a foul in the buildup.

Motherwell were dominant through the first 45 minutes.

And Said helped out as the hosts took the advantage through Tawanda Maswanhise.

Yet Askou reckons his men would've rattled up an uncatchable lead if it hadn't been for that controversial call.

Askou said: “We scored two beautiful goals and, for reasons I will never understand, one of them was disallowed.

“It’s absolutely shocking and, at 2-0, we would have had so much momentum.

“Ibby gets his body in front of the Falkirk player and shields the ball. If anything, HE is the one being fouled.
