Apologies to Ray Charles for borrowing his absolute classic driving song but with the new Jaecoo 5 and the all-electric 5e you can fairly belt it out big time. That is because both SUVs have a Karaoke app as standard.

Two microphones come as accessories with either car and via the app you can choose which banger to filter through the sound system.

On the EV model, with the camping mode you can even sit outside and play your pick through two speakers in the bumper. Born to Be Wild, I think.

The 1.6-litre turbo petrol and Jaecoo 5e are the latest in the incredibly successful lineup the Chinese company is rapidly rolling out in the UK.

The 5 is the slightly smaller version of the very popular Jaecoo 7, although it is still quite a biggish SUV in terms of size - but not price.
