Murdoch is sued by Trump on card story

DONALD Trump is suing media mogul Rupert Murdoch and two of his Wall Street Journal reporters for $10billion over the publication's claim he wrote a “bawdy” birthday note to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The US president, 79, filed the libel lawsuit, which also names the Journal's parent firms News Corp and Dow Jones & Company, in Miami on Friday.

Trump wrote: “We have just filed a powerhouse Lawsuit against everyone involved in publishing the false, malicious, defamatory, fake news ‘article’ in the useless ‘rag’ that is, The Wall Street Journal.

“I hope Rupert and his ‘friends’ are looking forward to the many hours of depositions and testimonies they will have to provide in this case.”
