French speedster reigns supreme in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes
LAZZAT capped a terrific week for leading owners Wathnan in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.
The Jerome Reynier-trained 9/2 shot was well-fancied to give the big-spending group more glory at this year’s meeting.
Jockey James Doyle was keen to dominate a world-class field in the Group 1 showpiece, breaking smartly and making every yard of the running.
The duo looked to having achieved just that only to face a dangerous late challenge from red-hot 2/1 jolly Satono Reve.
