Jail guards can't stand Brueckner. They refuse to be seen with him

MADELEINE McCann suspect Christian Brueckner has had his hopes of day release dashed because guards refuse to be seen with him in public.
The paedophile, who police believe snatched and killed the British youngster, is due to be freed from jail in Germany in September.
Inmates nearing the end of their sentence are usually allowed escorted trips into the community to help them reintegrate into society.
But 48-year-old Brueckner's notoriety and alleged links to the Madeleine case have hit his plans for day release, we can reveal.
A source close to the German, who is serving a seven-year sentence for rape, revealed that prison guards “can't stand him”.
“It is usual in Germany for prisoners coming up for release to be allowed out for a day or even a weekend,” they said.
