Cheap shots about his side taking route one into the top six have stung Saints.

But the Paisley gaffer says the Bees' formula for surviving and thriving among the big boys in the Premier League is one he has dipped into to get his side flying.

Brentford continue to upset the odds - like last weekend when Igor Thiago's double helped secure a 3-1 win over Manchester United.

And Robinson said: "I recruit boys with loads of talent so I feel very strongly when they get tarred with being a big physical side.
