Missus Jilly's labour day could scupper Andy's bid for an ever-present season
ANDY HALLIDAY is praying there's no bump on the road to Dingwall this afternoon as he closes in on a career milestone.
The Motherwell midfielder only needs to set foot on the park to complete an ever-present season with 46 appearances for the Steelmen.
The big issue? Nearly 200 miles away wife Jilly is due to give birth to their first baby.
Halliday is clear his priority lies with his true love if she goes into labour rather than with his labour of love on the park.
But the 33-year-old is praying his missus can hold on a little bit longer as he motors towards his personal achievement.
Either way he will have his phone on loud at the side of the park and a motor revved up and ready should the call come.
Halliday, voted Players' Player of the Year at Fir Park this season, said: "I'm hoping that my wife can hold off until past six o'clock.
"I'd be pretty grateful for that because I've obviously got one eye on getting that individual recognition for myself.
