Scots Greens want more taxes on second properties

TAXES on holiday homes and empty properties should be hiked further to tackle Scotland's homelessness crisis, the Greens say.

New figures showed a record number of households in temporary housing, including 10,180 children.

At the same time there were 21,600 second homes across Scotland and 43,000 homes lying empty for six months or more.
