CONNOR BOYD and Kyle McAvoy struck doubles as shock troops Talbot claimed a crushing win.

The result may not quite rank alongside the Ayrshire side’s win over Ayr United six years ago but Tommy Sloan’s side were far too good for a team two divisions above in the pyramid.

Boss Sloan - aka Tucker - said: “I'm delighted, we were convincing winners in the end, so great to be in the hat tomorrow.

“Once we get the first goal, it worked out well for us so I'm just delighted with the effort. I thought the effort was first-class from the first minute.

“I didn’t think we played with confidence in the first 20-25 minutes but that grew as the game went on.
