Warriors win both legs but more to come vows Franco
FRANCO SMITH admits his Warriors weren't at full pelt but leaving the capital with an 1872 Cup double saw pride top performance.
Glasgow beat Edinburgh for a second week on the bounce to lift the trophy for the fourth year in a row.
The Warriors claimed a URC bonus point in last week's 24-12 win at Hampden, which they followed up with another four match points at Murrayfield.
It was the first time in three years they have won both legs but head coach Smith said: “It was not our easiest night out there, let's put it that way.
“Edinburgh stepped up again. They're at home, they're a proud team, which Scotland must be proud of as well.
“They've got a lot of heart. But I'm really proud we stuck to plan and got it done.”
As for Glasgow's attack, he added: “We can do it better, we have done it better.
“But Edinburgh didn’t allow us to play.”
