Impressive Isuzu pick-up truck is big and bold but it also elegant and handsome too

MY DAUGHTER had been mulling over whether or not to buy a camper van or simply a van and modifying it.

Her reasoning? She wanted to spend some time on the Isle of Skye but had decided the hotel prices were way out of her pocket.

"Wouldn't it be better," she mused, "just to take your own bedroom with you, park up and sleep in that?"

And just like that the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross rolled up on to my driveway.

Now a pickup had been something she had considered too and this one came not only with a double cab in the top-of-the-range V-Cross trim but also an Elysium cab.

This is a customised option for the V-Cross which provides a secure and enclosed space in the truck bed and in my version of it, it also came with bed rug.
