Cuth-ings can only be good for us in long run

ERIN CUTHBERT insists the pain of being cuffed in Nations League A is better for Scotland than coasting at a lower level.

Scotland are bottom of the group after Friday night's 4-0 Tannadice defeat by Germany, their third straight loss.

But Chelsea midfielder Cuthbert believes being exposed to the kind of lessons the Germans dished out can only be to Scotland's long-term benefit.

As the Scots prepare for Tuesday's return in Wolfsburg, Cuthbert said:

"Honestly, I want to be in League A.

"We want to test ourselves against the best because you don't want to play in League B and get a false sense of security.
