It will take more than blowing smoke up supporters’ backsides to get everyone united at Parkhead again.

The problems the punters warned about are piling up by the week and there's every chance of another awkward afternoon against Motherwell today.

It's a decent start getting around the table and having a dialogue. A hands-up job when it comes to the summer and a vow things will change in the future might create some understanding.

But it won't do much to help Celtic in the short-term. And make no mistake, the Hoops are in a major spot of bother.

Nicholson, along with chairman Peter Lawwell and finance chief Chris McKay are in the firing line.

Unofficial head honcho Dermot Desmond is too but good luck getting the Irish billionaire around the table when he's kicking around with the celebs in the Dunhill Links at St Andrews.

There wouldn't be much chance of a sitdown with Desmond even if the golf wasn’t on.
