Lasley said: “We all know the stats about management and the average tenures in football.

“So, yes, it's a surprise and as a club we're obviously very pleased about that. We have no plans for anything to change.

“I certainly don't want to be out there banging the drum for other people to come and have a look at our manager.

“But look at the job he’s done and the work he did previously at Motherwell, I could certainly understand why other clubs would be considering that.

“Listen, we're delighted to have the manager here and I certainly hope he's here in Paisley for a good while yet.
