Alarm as e-scooter death and injury toll is revealed

ONE person was killed and more than 40 injured in collisions involving illegally ridden electric scooters between 2022 and 2024.
Among those injured by the machines, which can hit speeds between 40mph and 60mph if modified, were eight pedestrians, with three seriously hurt.
