Thelin hoping deal can be struck for Nizzy

2-GOAL KEV'S A KEEPER

JIMMY THELIN would love to keep Kevin Nisbet at Aberdeen but admits a deal is not in their hands.

The Scotland international netted a double in the win over Motherwell that sealed the Dons' place in the top six.

They came from behind as Alfie Dorringon, with his first senior goal, cancelled out Callum Slattery's opener before Leighton Clarkson's strike and a Nisbet brace sealed victory.

Nisbet is on loan from Millwall but a permanent deal for the striker could be financially challenging for the Pittodrie outfit.

Thelin said: "He is not our player. He is here right now. It is not for me to say that kind of thing but do we like Kevin? Yes, we do.

"We focus on the moment right now. We talk about his goals and that is important but you see he takes responsibility.

"He wins the ball back, helping the defence, pressing from behind and creating transitions but still arriving with scoring chances.
