Prof. Ranasinghe honoured with guest Professorship at Sichuan Uni, China

Professor Ruwan Ranasinghe, Deputy Minister of Tourism and a leading tourism strategist, has been awarded a Guest Professorship at Sichuan University, China, in recognition of his academic excellence and contributions to sustainable tourism development.

Prof. Ranasinghe oversees the formulation and execution of Sri Lanka’s tourism policies, focusing on sustainability, innovation, and international partnerships. A First-Class graduate of Rajarata University (2004), he holds an MBA (2012) and earned his Doctorate from Sichuan University in 2017, making his latest appointment a significant milestone in his longstanding academic ties with China.
