Prof. Chandra Wickremasinghe’s previously postponed lecture on "ENCOUNTER WITH ALIENS FROM STONE-AGE TO SPACE-AGE" will be jointly hosted by the National Academy of Sciences of Sri Lanka (NASSL) and the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS) with the event commencing at 5:00pm on Thursday 7th August at SLAAS’s Auditorium (120/10 Vidya Mw.Colombo 7), the organizers said.

Prof. Wickremsinghe received his early education at Royal College Colombo and at the University of Colombo which awarded him a First Class Honours Degree in Mathematics. He received a Commonwealth scholarship to proceed to Trinity College
