VAR is losing its appeal for fuming Frank

A BRENTFORD barricade following skipper Christian Norgaard's red card earned Thomas Frank's side their first away point of the campaign.

The Bees, with five consecutive defeats on their travels, looked up against it when the Danish midfielder was dismissed after a VAR check for what was deemed a dangerous follow-through on Jordan Pickford before half-time.

But they held on and will appeal the decision after Frank (below) insisted ref Chris Kavanagh lost his nerve.

The official hadn't originally punished the Dane but changed his mind after being summoned to the pitchside monitor.

The Bees boss said: "For me it's not a red card. There was no intention to hurt Pickford, he was just trying to score.
