States braced for 'Summer of Rage'

POLICE riot squads and National Guard troops were on standby in major cities across America last night after a radical proabortion group vowed to stage a “Summer of Rage”.
Dozens of demonstrators were arrested in Los Angeles, New York and Washington DC and police fired tear gas to disperse a crowd in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday night.
It followed the Supreme Court’s reversal of its 50-year-old “Roe v Wade” decision which had given women the constitutional right to an abortion.
This issue will now be up to individual states to determine, with Senate Republicans saying yesterday that 13 have already triggered legislation that will come into effect in 30 days, effectively banning abortions.
