THE widow of rugby league great Rob Burrow has shared the heartbreaking moment that she knew he could no longer battle motor neurone disease.

Lindsey, 42, had watched the ex-Great Britain and Leeds Rhinos star succumb to the disease that left him paralysed, unable to speak and a prisoner in his own body.

Rob, 41, had been diagnosed with MND in December 2019 and spent the next four-and a-half years battling the disease, during which time he helped raise more than £20million for MND charities.
