LAMPS HAS A RED WHINE

FRANK LAMPARD fears he will be seen as 'whiny' after being mystified how IPSWICH striker George Hirst was still on the pitch to help condemn COVENTRY to a 3-0 loss.

Hirst was already on a yellow card when he took a 35th-minute shot after referee Paul Tierney had blown his whistle, with the game still goalless. Coventry's Josh Eccles had earlier been booked for the same action.

After just a second loss of the season, Lampard (inset) said: "I don't love yellows for kicking the ball away or having a shot but clearly if Josh deserved one then Hirst deserves one.

"It can make you sound whiny, especially when you lose 3-0."
