DANGO SILENCES HOWE'S OUTFIT... BEFORE THE BOOS

NEWCASTLE UNITED were booed off by large sections of fans after a loss that left their hopes of qualifying for Europe in serious doubt.

With the pressure growing on Eddie Howe, who also had his name chanted in a positive manner for long periods, one supporter emerged towards the dugout in front of the Press box and turned the air blue as he directed a verbal volley at the head coach.

It was the first sign of any real discontent in the stadium and many of the Gallowgate End fans had voted with their feet by the time the team made their way around to applaud by the end.

The score was locked 2-2 when Dango Ouattara scored a late winner as Brentford recorded their first victory at St James’ Park since 1934.

For Newcastle, it is just one win in the last eight games in all competitions.
