Couzens' wife haunted by horror of his evil deeds

THE wife of Wayne Couzens is "haunted" by his sick offending, three years to the day since Sarah Everard's shocking murder.

Former police officer Couzens abducted, raped and killed the 33-year-old marketing executive after she got into his car.

Last week a damning report revealed he should never have been a police officer and opportunities were missed to stop him.

His wife Elena reportedly continues to be "traumatised" by the scale of his sick offending, a friend said.

The couple were married for 15 years, in which she is said to have told friends the ex-diplomatic protection officer never hit her or showed any signs of his evil nature.

The Ukrainian-born mum of two, who is thought to be working as a lab technician, is reportedly still struggling to come to terms with what happened.
