These enhancements aim to make the park more accessible and enjoyable for all ages while supporting active lifestyles and community gatherings.
A public consultation on the masterplan was held in summer 2024 and received 94 responses through the Council's consultation hub, alongside additional feedback through other channels.
The response was overwhelmingly positive and highlighted several priorities for the detailed design, including the provision of sensory and inclusive play equipment, improved accessibility, and additional seating.
The consultation also raised ideas around biodiversity and sustainability, such as tree planting and grass management in line with the Council's Grow Wild scheme.
