Youth fooball match ended in trouble

POLICE and paramedics had to be called to a youth football match when trouble erupted after the referee awarded a last-minute penalty.

One person was taken to hospital following the fixture between Reddish North End Under 15 Reds and Glodwick Dynamoes FC Under 15s.

The fixture, which was played at North Reddish Park on April 27, ended in a 3-3 draw. One source at the game said trouble erupted at the end of the fixture when the referee awarded a last-minute penalty to Reddish.
