Chippy serves up charity cash with special meaning

Strathcarron Hospice and Stirling and District Women’s Aid will benefit from two charity nights which were held by Vincenzo’s Fish and Chips.

Part of the proceeds from a special menu at the Cowane Street shop on Sunday and Monday will be donated to the good causes.

But owner Vincenzo Di Carlo, who runs the shop with wife Giuliana, says his latest charity effort also had special meaning.

Stirling and District Women’s Aid’s executive manager Lisa McGloin passed away on March 16. She had devoted over 12 years of her life to the charity and tributes flooded not only from colleagues and friends but from the many women and families she had helped and supported over the years.

Vincenzo said: “We are deeply proud to announce that our charity event will be dedicated to the memory of Lisa McGloin, a truly remarkable woman who devoted her life to supporting countless women and children.
