Stirling confirms they are to take part in the SPFL pilot programme
Stirling Albion are set to take part in a trial which will return alcohol to Scottish football grounds for the first time in 44 years.
The pilot programme has been run by the SPFL, in conjunction with local authorities across the country, with seven clubs set to allow a limited number of home fans at upcoming fixtures over the weekend to drink alcohol.
The ban on alcohol inside stadiums was introduced following a riot between Celtic and Rangers supporters after the 1980 Scottish Cup Final.
Since that point, only fans in hospitality have been allowed to consume alcohol in stadia - and they were not permitted to have a view of the pitch.
