Record number of farmers participated in 15 days Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyanin District Samba

SAMBA: The Krishi Vigyan Kendra Samba under the aegis of SKUAST Jammu, coneluded its impactful outreach under the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan launched by Union Agriculture Ministry, New Delhi. These programmes were conducted under the stewardship of Prof. B.N Tripathi Viee Chancellor SKUAST Jammu and the able guidance of Dr. Amrish Vaid Director Extension SKUAST Jammu.

The Abhiyan was being carried out under the direct supervision of Prof Sanjay Khajuria, District Nodal Officer VKSA Samba and Dr. Rakesh Khajuria-Joint Nodal Officer VKSA, Samba. While briefing in details to the media on the conclusion of VKSA in district Samba, Prof Sanjay Khajuria disclosed that a 135 number of villages of 9 blocks of District Samba were successfully contacted and covered under VKSA by the three teams. He further stated that in fifteen days , more than twenty thousand farmers/farm women/rural youths were contaeted directly and indirectly in all the locations comprising the highly remote as well as unapproachable villages.
