KCCI urges urgent government intervention to facilitate Hajj travel for 3,000 stranded pilgrims

The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCC&I) has made an urgent appeal to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, seeking their immediate intervention to assist nearly 3,000 Hajj pilgrims currently stranded due to the suspension of flight operations from Srinagar Airport.

In a strongly worded statement, the KCC&I expressed deep concern over the plight of the intending pilgrims whose travel plans were disrupted following the cancellation of flights amid recent hostilities and heightened tensions between India and Pakistan. Although a ceasefire has now been officially declared, the Chamber believes this provides a critical window for authorities to act swiftly to ensure the pilgrims can still undertake their sacred journey.
