The launch of “Democracy on Wheels” is one such welcome step, a visionary initiative aimed at deepening democratic participation, especially in remote and underserved regions. At its heart, this initiative is not only about convenience-it's about inclusion, empowerment, and strengthening the very roots of the democratic process.

India is the world's largest democracy, with a vast and diverse population scattered across mountains, deserts, forests, and islands. While great strides have been made in recent decades to ensure free and fair elections, the accessibility and awareness among certain sections of the population-such as those in remote rural areas, tribal belts, and among the elderly and differently-abled-remain a persistent challenge. “Democracy on Wheels” is a response to this very challenge.
