Free Saturday parking before Christmas

FREE parking all day on Saturdays in the run-up to Christmas in Stafford and Stone, gets under way this week.

The Waterfront multi-storey is also part of the festive free parking scheme this year

Motorists will not be charged in any of the local authority-run car parks in both town centres on Saturday, December 6, 13 and 20. There will be stickers placed on the pay machines in the car parks to advise that parking is free on the day.

Leader of Stafford Borough Council, Aidan Godfrey, said he hoped the move would encourage more people into the town centres to boost local business during the festive season.
