Swans have enough quality to avoid a dogfight - Matos
South Wales Evening Post
|November 28, 2025
VITOR Matos insists his Swansea City squad have the technical quality to pull themselves away from a potential relegation battle.
However, he admits a difficult start to the season has perhaps put a dent into the confidence of some of his stars, with defeat at home to Derby County condemning the Swans to their fourth-straight loss.
Matos has still clearly not had as much time on the training ground as he would have liked, having only been unveiled by the club on Monday evening, and reiterated that patience may be required before his methods start to shine through.
However, he insists he’s happy with the group of players at his disposal.
"I’m really happy with the squad, that’s the truth, but like I said in the beginning, more than having solutions in terms of players, we need to build a team and we need to be stronger collectively," he said.
