Sheehan tells Swans to ignore keyboard warriors
South Wales Evening Post
|October 18, 2025
SWANSEA boss Alan Sheehan has urged his players to remain focused on performances and not pay any attention to criticism on social media.
-
Sheehan insists he doesn't pay any attention to the noises online, and suggests there are some critics simply not interested in showing support.
"I think you'll always have that at every football club," he said when quizzed on the criticism aimed at Liam Cullen during the most recent international break.
"There are some people that would probably rather be right on social media and stick by it.
"So when a player is doing well, they just go quiet and wait for the next batch really.
"So that's the way it is, but any player getting criticism or love on social media, this is the world that's been created, really.
"I don't see anything. I don't read it. I understand, for example, that when we win, you will be quite popular, and when you lose you'll be very unpopular.
