Jessica blessed with Magic touch

BERNARD Llewellyn waved goodbye to the flat season at Ffos Las in style.

Welsh trainers were out in force on Sunday as the Carmarthenshire track staged its final flat fixture of 2025 before it turns its attentions to the jumps.

But it was Llewellyn who stole the show.

The Mid Glamorgan handler has been among the busiest trainers at Ffos Las this year, and he was rewarded with a double to bookend the seven-race card.

Fittingly enough, it was course specialist Zambezi Magic who supplied his first winner.

Earlier in September Zambezi Magic ran out a nine-length winner of a 10-furlong handicap without ever threatening to come off the bridle. ‘And here he repeated the trick, only this time his winning margin on his favoured heavy ground was 16 lengths.

He was partnered by the trainer’s granddaughter Jessica Llewellyn, who upped the tempo on the turn for home and stretched clear of her toiling rivals.

She will be hard pressed to ever ride an easier winner.
