Incredible people who can inspire all of us!

IT REALLY has been an incredible past week in Swansea.

Last week ended with more than 600 guests packed into the Swansea Building Society Arena for the Child of Wales honouring some of our country’s incredible young people.

Despite our insatiable appetite for news and its 24-hour availability, it’s content at the moment is something we almost feel we should be annoyed by.

There's so much anger and aggression on those bulletins it's tempting to just switch over and watch an episode of Friends for the umpteenth time!

The Child of Wales Awards is pure joy celebrating all that’s good in the world, well in Wales at least!

The event is organised by Blanche and Mark Sainsbury with an army of volunteers ensuring the smooth running of one of the most glamorous, high-profile events in the charity calendar, with the attendance of many media personalities, celebrities and sports stars, along with performances from some astonishing international entertainers.

The Child of Wales is exactly what it says on the packet, covering every part of the country, and recognising outstanding personal courage, bravery, sporting and creative achievements; children who help others and champion causes in their communities, protecting the environment, caring for others and fundraising.
