HORSE POWER World-class jockey Ryan back for Mor at Lingfield

RYAN Moore can return to the saddle with a bang aboard top-weight Morrophore in the BetMGM Winter Oaks Trial Fillies’ Handicap at Lingfield.

- By ASHLEY IVESON

The world-class jockey has been sidelined by a leg injury since late August and while at one stage looked set to miss the rest of the year, he has been passed fit to return ahead of a planned trip to Hong Kong later this month.

‘The pick of five rides on his return looks to be the John and Thady Gos-den-trained Morrophore, who opened her account on the all-weather at Wolverhampton last year and has been lightly-raced in 2025 so far with only three starts.

She was thoroughly impressive when scoring at Ascot in May but did not reappear until early October, when a tardy start put her on the back foot from flag-fall at Newmarket and she never really threatened to land a telling blow.

Morrophore has been off the track for another couple of months, but the booking of Moore looks significant.
