Free buses for visitors on a weekend of festive fun

SWANSEA Council's free bus initiative is back this weekend so that families can travel to watch the Christmas Parade more easily than ever.

The popular service that's seen more than a million free journeys taken over the last few years will be available today and tomorrow, when tens of thousands of people are expected to converge on the city centre for the parade.

The usual rules will apply, so it means only journeys that start in Swansea and finish in Swansea will be eligible for the offer.

Today the cutoff time for free buses will be 7pm. Tomorrow the cutoff time will be 9pm to give people more time to get home after the show.

Extra parking has also been laid on so that families who get to the parade early will have the chance to get settled in before Santa makes his move.
