South Wales Evening Post
|July 15, 2025
A FAMILY have organised a special 17-mile charity walk from Morriston Hospital in Swansea to Kenfig Hill Fire Station to raise funds for the hospital's Coronary Care and Cardiac ITU teams.
-
The walk is in honour of Heath Barron, who was critically ill earlier this year.
Heath was admitted to Morriston’s Coronary Care Unit after suffering multiple heart attacks, one of which left a large tear in his heart.
He spent more than nine weeks in hospital and was given a 50% chance of survival. He suffered four cardiac arrests, was placed in a coma three times, and spent three weeks in intensive care.
