WAUNARLWYDD Galaxy maintained their perfect start to the Swansea Senior League Premier Division campaign with a slender 1-0 win over a Blaenymaes side that had title aspirations themselves this season.

Jack Nicholason got the deciding goal in the second minute of this tense encounter.

Brad Myles in the Galaxy goal has now kept a clean sheet in each of his last three matches.

Brynawel won their first league match of the season against a Treboeth United side that had been in great form of late.

Aled John opened the scoring in the seventh minute from the penalty spot before Taylor John equalised in the 25th minute. But in the 73rd minute Brad Cooze found the time and space to get the winner and lift them three points clear of Plough Colts, who sit bottom of the division.

Plough Colts lost 4-1 at home to a Birchgrove Colts side who picked up their first league win of the season.

The win was set up by an opening goal from Jordan Edwards in the eighth minute and Oliver Schofield made it 2-0 in the 35th minute.

Ashley Curtis pulled a goal back just after the break but further goals from Jake Nicholas and Schofield, who took his tally to six in the last two matches, sealed the 4-1 win.

Despite Murton Rovers going 1-0 up through Umberto Brasiello in the 15th minute, Clase Social had enough about them to recover and stretch their unbeaten run to four matches with a 4-1 away win as they moved into third spot in the table.

Brandon Davies equalised in the 37th minute and Clase took the lead when Luke Gear stroked home.
